Tips for Ordering Prints from Digital Images
Not all rectangles are created equal, which means not all print sizes are created equal. While this may seem obvious, it is important to understand this concept when ordering your prints, whether you order at any online lab, your local drug store, or superstore kiosk. All of the images files are sized to accommodate most popular print sizes. However, because each print size is different, some images may be better suited for one size over another. For example, some images may be best printed as a 5x7, but as an 8x10 may come too close to the edges. Please keep this in mind when you order photos.

Be sure to preview all of your images, regardless of size, for proper cropping and printing prior to ordering! All online and kiosk printers allow you to preview what the image will look like when it is printed, and will usually give you an opportunity to adjust the cropping borders before the order is placed. This is extremely important!!! If you do not do this or do this incorrectly, your images could be cut off. If for some reason, your image does not appear to fit properly in a specific size, do not order it. I will gladly crop or resize any images, if possible, should they not conform to a specific size, however this must occur prior to your order. Once your prints are ordered, there is nothing I can do if they are cropped or printed incorrectly. It is unlikely that any lab will contact you if your prints are improperly cropped, so please do not assume that a technician is verifying your printed images.

I recommend using a professional print lab for your prints, such as mpix.com, the lab the fulfills orders from my website.  Prints from other sites can vary widely in color and quality.  Please be aware of this when ordering your prints or other merchandise.
